job description

about the company

Our client is an international insurance corporation with growing business across the globe. Currently, they are seeking for a Finance Manager to join their IFRS 17 work-stream in Hong Kong.

about the role

You will:

  • Develop and provide technical solutions to establish the framework for IFRS 17 reporting
  • Prepare opening balance-sheet for the IFRS 17 transition
  • Analyze and evaluate financial performance and monitor end-to-end implementation
  • Work closely with the IFRS 17 teams on system testing, ensure smooth implementation on financial disclosures and management report
  • Ensure transition comply with corporate governance, regulations and support annual audit
  • Advise new approaches to enhance workflow and overall efficiency for the Business

skills and experience required

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Qualified member of HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in financial reporting, IFRS 17 project implementation gained from insurance sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business
  • Highly organized, eager to learn, strong project management skills using consultative-approach
  • Good command in English and Chinese
