about the company.
My client is a Hong Kong manufacturer with a focus on apparel productions. Their business covers fabric, printing, dyeing, weaving, designing, testing and production for many famous apparel brands and wholesale businesses.

• Research, develop and source for fabric for the marketing and design team
• Negotiate with supplier for cost, agreement, quality and other production issues
• Participate in fabric shows to research new fabrications, techniques and finishes
• Monitor sample fabric ordering process, testing and inspection
• Maintain and expand wide sourcing network
• Source and develop seasonal fabric to meet the business need
• Monitor sample fabric ordering process, testing and inspection
• Negotiate with supplier for cost, agreement, quality and other production issues
• Maintain and expand wide sourcing network
• Review and evaluate the performance of fabric mill and propose changes whenever necessary
• Ensure fabric mills meet sample development calendar deadlines to ensure timely delivery to garment factories

• Degree holder in Textile/ Clothing or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in fabric development, textiles production, functional performance
• Familiar with sustainability & traceability concepts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
