Business development: Originate, structure, and execute structured lending transactions within the food and agricultural sector, including but not limited to crop production, livestock farming, agribusiness and food processing, agricultural inputs, and agricultural services.

Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients operating in the food and agricultural sector, understanding their financing needs and providing strategic advice and solutions.
Revenue generation: Achieve revenue targets by effectively cross-selling and upselling structured lending products and other relevant banking services to existing and prospective clients within the food and agricultural industry.
Risk management: Assess and manage credit risks associated with structured lending transactions, ensuring compliance with the bank's risk management policies and guidelines.
Market analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes within the food and agricultural sector, providing insights to internal stakeholders and leveraging this knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
Team collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit teams, and relationship managers, to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
Thought leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in structured lending within the food and agricultural sector, providing guidance and expertise to junior team members and contributing to the development of product strategies.
Industry advocacy: Represent the bank at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events, enhancing the bank's visibility and reputation within the food and agricultural community.
Compliance and risk management: Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all dealings within the food and agricultural sector.

Team leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience as a structured lending coverage banker, with a strong focus on the food and agricultural sector.
Proven track record of originating, structuring, and executing complex structured lending transactions within the food and agricultural industry.
Extensive network and relationships within the food and agricultural sector, including key industry players, investors, and stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of the APAC market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment within the food and agricultural sector.
Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate creditworthiness and mitigate risks associated with structured lending transactions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients and internal stakeholders.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop innovative financing solutions, and drive revenue growth.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
