The client company is a leading architectural firm that is reputed for its quality building development projects, ranging from large scale residential developments, prestigious hotels, Grade A offices, institutional buildings and so forth. Many of its projects have become the landmarks in HK, PRC and APAC. With ongoing project pipelines, they would like to invite a QS talent to lead the team as a (Deputy) Director, QS.

about the role

As a (Deputy) Director - QS, you can expect your major responsibilities to be the followings:

• You will be involving in providing technical QS advice and industrial insights to the internal design and project teams for the new building development projects regarding the cost of project, contract terms, dispute resolution, etc.
• Manage the preparation of the necessary materials and strategies for tender submission and fee proposals
• Involve in the procurement for subcontractors and vendors, ranging from vetting, quotation, pre-qualification, etc.
• Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on QS matters for the company’s interests
• Lead the team members, inspire and to play an important role in the QS team to make sure the QS service within the team is delivered on time and in a quality manner

requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; professional qualification, e.g. MHKIS / MRICS is required
• Around 18-25 years of experience in quantity surveying with recent experience in QS consultancy/contractors/architectural practices
• Solid experience involving in new building development projects, preferably experience handling diverse projects, e.g. commercial, residential, institutional, civil, etc.
• Good communication skills. Good command in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) & English is required to liaise with different stakeholders
• Energetic, flexible, hard-working, Self-driven individual who always strive for success
