You will assist with enhancing the Banks Data Protection controls by working with the Bank Risk Management, Office of the CISO, Technology and inter-affiliate service providers to cover the data protection interests of the Private Wealth Management business unit.

We are looking for a capable, detail oriented data protection and information security professional, who can analyze different data sets to highlight data protection issues to ensure full understanding of our data protection requirements across the business.

This role will serve as a catalyst to implement data protection controls that protect our customer data.

Role Details
• Understand the regional requirements of required regulators, including, but not limited to, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
• Assist the Business Units in maintaining their data mapping and risk assessment requirements
• Understands the data landscape across the Banks systems both regional and global
• Assist the Business Units with reviewing and enhancing their data inventory
• Review technical controls that support data protection compliance (e.g. systems entitlements, Data Loss Prevention, encryption) in conjunction with the technology teams

Skills / Experience Required:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree or any combination of equivalent education, experience, and formal training that allows the candidate to meet the requirements of the job
• Strong understanding of banking systems, databases and how customer data is stored and processed in Banking institutions
• Understanding of information and data protection risk, especially as related to the risk around Banking customer data
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders of varied accountability and seniority.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to operate effectively with ambiguous and incomplete data
• Proactivity and an ability to work independently.
• Background in the fields of Data Security and Governance
• Knowledge of outsourcing and third party data risk management considerations
• 6-8 years working in a large financial services environment
