Our client is one of the largest retail groups in the world. They are seeking a Data Privacy Counsel to join their Hong Kong legal team. This role is to provide legal and data protection support in the APAC region.
Responsibilities:
● Provide legal advices on commercial matters.
● Provide guidance and implement global data protection policy to ensure data privacy compliance.
● Manage and respond to unexpected data privacy incidents.
● Collaborate with regional lead counsels and external counsels when required.
● Collaborate with business and provide expert support for projects.● Assist and advise regulatory obligations with privacy regulatory bodies.
● Monitor and analyze data privacy legislation and enforcement in the region.
Requirements:
● 5 PQE gained in an international law firm or in a multinational company with data protection experiences preferred.● Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently as well as a team player.● Excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen. ● Good command in English and Chinese.
