- Manage the assigned category (Either Seafood or/ Fruit and Vegetable), formulate assortment and allocation plans
- Monitor the stock level, merchandise distribution & replenishment to ensure appropriate level of stock are maintained to achieve sales target
- Identify potential suppliers to source new products to enhance the product portfolio
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive prices and terms
- Analyze market trends, sales performance, revenues and current inventory levels to forecast inventory needs and estimate purchase quantities
- Calculate, place and maintain purchase orders / promotional purchase orders with vendors
- Conduct analysis and management and setting prices for products
- Work closely with internal stakeholders for promotions, visual merchandising and other ad-hoc projects
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or above
- Food Buying experience in retail industry
- Detail oriented, strong numerical and analytical sense and able to perform multi-tasks
- Able to analyse large amounts of complex information and present findings clearly and concisely
- Able to work effectively under pressure with minimum supervision
- Strong ability in handling multi-tasking roles, responsible and attentive to numberings and details
- Proven skill in managing direct relationship with vendors and clients, and cross-functional team's collaboration
- Proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills & problem-solving mindset
- Great command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Sound PC knowledge including MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
