about the team.
The newly formed UX/UI team is of a localized and simple structure, meaning decisions will be more streamlined and efficient. They also promote good work-life balance along side of practical, hands on approaches and an open, collaborative environment.

The team’s main aim is to revamp all digital platforms associated with the bank and therefor as a candidate, you will have be part of a team that has ownership over the whole revamp process.

about the job.
We are currently hiring an Assistant UI Manager to translate the team’s concepts and ideas into designs, ensure that UI and visual designs communicates clearly, is on brand and satisfies users. You will also be responsible for developing the digital brand and identity strategy for the bank.
skills & experiences required.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about design, able to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to stakeholders and also be able to understand design elegant solutions for complex requirements and processes. An interest and understanding of the UX aspect is also expected, as you will be supporting the team in both areas when necessary.

Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Give data meaning through information visualization
  • Contribute to the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries
  • Partner with UX, technology, business and project management to ensure the project meets creative, strategy, and project objectives
  • Present in a clear and compelling way to team members and stakeholders
  • Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs
  • Produce user requirements specifications screen designs, design prototypes and design specifications
  • Work closely with development teams to manage the design process, drive decisions, track design issues and ensure that design specifications are implemented
  • Support UX designers in carrying out participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behaviour and verify design concepts
  • Keep up to date on emerging industry developments / trends on digital services to ensure the future strategy for the product developments are aligned with evolving developments
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with other team members and stakeholders
  • Improving user interaction and interface within an Accessibility framework and management of interaction with digital agencies
  • Promote UI best practice

Skills & experience required:

  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX Design
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to stakeholders
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
  • Be passionate about all things UI/UX and other areas of design and innovation
  • Proficient in UI and interaction design with keen eye for branding, visual design, typography and user interface design and also an understanding of user centered design process
  • Strong experience across desktop & native mobile app design
  • Proficiency in UI/UX Software (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InVision, Flinto, Zeplin)
  • Experience in User Research techniques and usability testing is a big plus
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum
  • Ability to work within a Design System and propose various concepts within given constraints
  • Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wider range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
  • Strong online portfolio available for viewing
  • Previous experience in the financial sector preferable but not a must
