My client is a listed company located in Hong Kong which is looking for an Application Development Team Manager.

The right candidate will be responsible to manage the Application Development Team with around 12 teammates, and this position will work closely with the Product Team Manager for multiple large-scales projects in the business.

about the job

• Lead and manage a 12 person development team including Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers to design and develop a set of processes, best practices, guidelines, standards for multiple large-scale projects
• Work closely with Head of IT, Product Team Manager and 3rd party vendors to ensure the works are delivered on schedule and able to achieve business objectives
• Monitor the performance of the team & 3rd party vendors to ensure that solutions delivered are high-quality, on schedule and easy-to-support
• Lead and coach the teams in building continuous delivery based software release pipelines
• Involve in technology related hiring process for both Application Development and Project Team

skills & experiences required

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related relevant discipline
• 5+ years' experience in application development, system design and architecture, include leading a team of (at least 5) developers providing mentoring, coaching and guidance on a day-to-day basis
• Working experience on large scale application development experience, web based / CRM system project experience in commercial industry would be advantageous
• Knowledge of cloud platform such as AWS/GCP and successful implementation knowledge of DevOps methods and associated CI/CD tools such as Docker and Jenkins
• A solid knowledge with multiple general purpose programming languages/frameworks/tools including but not limited to: React/Angular/Bootstrap/Node.js/PHP/Laravel/MongoDB/Redis etc.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and able to work in a fast-paced environment is preferred
• Any knowledge of machine learning and mobile application development is a plus
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving skill and able to get your hands dirty
• Good command in both spoken and written Cantonese and English
• Candidate with less experience will also be considered as Assistant Manager
