Our client, a fast growing start-up that utilizes biotechnology to disrupt the baby formula market, is now expanding the R&D team and is looking for an Analytical Scientist (Recombinant Protein Characterization).

Participate in recombinant human breast milk protein development activities that employ a wide range of host cell systems and cutting edge/established culturing and purification techniques
Documentation, analysis and presentation of data in well-organized written and oral formats to internal and external parties
Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a high-quality Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN)

skills & experiences required.

A PhD degree, or equivalent experience in protein chemistry and/or protein analytical sciences, or a closely related field
Past experience must include hands on application of analytical techniques for the characterization of recombinant proteins
SDS-PAGE, native gel electrophoresis, western blots
UV-Vis spectroscopy
HPLC/UPLC
Capillary isoelectric focusing
Mass Spec
Host cell DNA analysis
The winning candidate will have effective communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and the ability to present data in well-organized written and oral formats.
