You will lead a cooperative and result-oriented team of around 6 to 10 market research professionals, who are eager to learn and real team players.

about the job.
You will lead and develop the team in providing market research services to a group of corporate clients, drive business development and deliver revenue results, strategically grow the client base to achieve business objectives.

Your main responsibilities will include client servicing, business development and financial management.

client servicing
  • Expand our scope of influence in the designated client servicing team, with clients across a wider range of products and with greater depth of involvement
  • Ensure the implementation of Client Management Processes that will endorse our service standards to meet/exceed client expectations and add value to clients to ensure continuous profitable and business growth
  • Provide tailored product solutions and benefits to client business issues / opportunities by developing strategic initiatives
  • Manage and deliver assigned research projects including preparation, approval and delivery of proposals, reports and presentations
  • Foster relationships at all levels and functions of the client organization to translate business issues to research needs and identify opportunities for incremental product / solution sales
  • Be the best resource to handle day-to-day client requirements and deliver high quality output to address clients’ business issues

business development
  • Make a strategic business plan on how to target clients to achieve sustainable business growth for your responsible area
  • Ensure local strategies are well-implemented based on global and regional / sub-regional directions
  • Develop plans to cross-sell and introduce new services to existing clients
  • Participate in developing and launching new services
  • Provide continuous feedback on competitive activities with assigned clients
  • Contribute to building the company’s positive image by participating in professional associations and industry seminars and conferences

financial management
  • Achieve revenue, profitability, quality, speed of delivery and productivity targets and related BD objectives as assigned
  • Monitor the actual financial performance against budget / forecast and implement appropriate actions to achieve financial targets
  • Ensure proper pricing and contracts are completed and approved according to company policies
  • Manage the cost of jobs and negotiations across departments and /or with external vendors to ensure it is within pre-set budget restrictions

skills & experiences required.
  • University graduate preferably in Marketing, Business Management, Statistics, Psychology or other equivalent subjects
  • Minimum 10-15 years experience in market research or equivalent experience in agency or in-house environment (candidates with less experience may be considered for Associate Director level)
  • Solid knowledge of market research products and services with strong business and integration sense
  • Expert knowledge of research techniques and methodologies
  • Excellent at business development and client presentations
  • Strong client focus and pro-activeness
  • Excellent influencing and leadership skills
  • Good at English and Chinese including verbal Cantonese
